What do you pride yourself on? Being more than just
the photographer from the moment a couple books. Help, advice and guidance are
all part of the service. I love to get to know my couples so by the wedding day
its almost like I'm another friend who's there to celebrate.
How far in advance should couples contact you? It depends on the
time of year, but I am frequently booked for summer Saturdays up to a year in
advance. If you are keen, don't delay in giving a call.

If you're after a photographer that becomes a part of your wedding and captures those fleeting moments with intimacy and joy, then you may have just found her!
I think Fiona Kelly's entire portfolio is impressive, but the images I've selected for this post really speak to me because they make true her above statement, that she really works on slipping into the wedding to take the best pictures. Looking through these images, you'll be forgiven for thinking that they were taken by a friend or family member, they feel so intimate and take the moment so realistically.

Confetti Shot I Love Thee

Now you've seen her fabulous work, lets get to know her a bit better...

What does your typical day look like?
I'm up about 6.45am to
get my son up, dressed and we have breakfast together. My husband leaves for
work early so he's often gone before we are up. I walk my son to our
childminders about an hour later. I'm normally sat in the office by 8am where I
catch up on emails and check what I have to do that day. If its an office day I
will generally be editing. If its a shooting day I will check my kit and work
out timings before heading out.
Favourite quote? "Be who you are
and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who
matter don't mind.” ― Bernard M. Baruch. Basically, be yourself and don't worry if not everyone gets you.
Chocolate or sweets? Chocolate
Tea or Coffee? Tea. I do like coffee
but I'm definitely a tea girl!
Florals or stripes? Stripes. I have far
too many stripey tops in my wardrobe!
Cat person or dog
person? We have always owned
Cats so I'm a cat person. I do like dogs but having never had ones I don't
understand them the way I do with cats.
Favourite book? I find it almost
impossible to pick one book as I love reading and have many favourites. One
that I do go back to and still love is 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. I first read it
at school and it really grabbed me then. It still does
Are you married? Yes?
Can you tell us what moment of the day really stands out in your memory? Or
impart any advice to Brides to be? Yes. You may laugh, but we got married in Las Vegas. We knew we didn't want a
traditional wedding and nothing really grabbed us when we were looking in this
country. My husband joked one evening that we should just head to Vegas and I
remember saying 'why not?!'. 17 of our closest family and friends came with us
and we then had a big party for 250 odd people when we got home. The best
moment from our wedding was after the ceremony, after the meal everyone walked
over the road and stood in front of the Belagio Fountains, watching the most
amazing display. It was really magical and equally as surreal. A wow moment.
Favourite Wedding
Custom? It would probably
have to be exchanging wedding rings. Its that time in the day where it all
becomes official and you really become a married couple.

WOW Fiona, no, I'm not laughing but yes I am completely jealous that you seem to have had the Las Vegas Wedding of my fantasies!!
Thanks for stopping by and showing us your work,
